I’m always excited pick out new fabric from Organic Cotton Plus to use as pockets on our garments. It’s a durable woven fabric and they offer unique patterns! I started out making the Comfy Skirt pockets by using my own fabric stash. It took me a while to use up, as I had collected a lot of one yard pieces over my years of working at fabric stores. During that time I noticed that customers would often choose their skirt based on what the pocket looked like! Picking the fabric for those pockets has become a finishing touch I cherish. Life is all about appreciating the small seemingly insignificant moments. The more we count our blessings the less we focus on the negative, so if we can let a little bit of printed organic cotton bring us joy, let’s do that!

I encourage you to check out the range of fabrics offered by Organic Cotton Plus and sew up some joy-sharing projects of your own. Working with suppliers who have the same core beliefs is an important part of the Texture Clothing lifecycle, it helps us create clothing with conscience from start to finish. Growing conventional cotton is chemical-intensive, and those highly toxic chemicals have tremendous impact on the earth’s air, water, soil, and the health of people in cotton-growing areas. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment, maintain soil fertility, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Run by a team passionate about making the world a cleaner and healthier place, Organic Cotton Plus is is a company we’re happy to spread the word about. Any purchase made through our affiliate links will also help support Texture Clothing in the pursuit of high performing eco-fashion.
